Jay Joshi

Managing Partner

Jay has deep knowledge, skills and experience in the areas of strategy development, financial analysis, valuations and transaction management. He has a Master’s degree from the University of California, Los Angeles and a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from the University of Pune.

In his work at CEO ally since 2007, he has worked on and closed more than 30 transactions in the IT services, software, engineering services and BPO sectors. He also acts as an adviser to a number of small and medium-sized technology businesses to help them realize their strategic goals, and recognizes that client’s qualitative motivations are as critical as quantitative goals to successful M&A transactions.

Prior to joining CEO ally, Jay worked with PA Consulting Group, a global management consultancy.

During his time with PA, Jay worked with clients in sectors as diverse as high-tech, financial services, government, health care, and media & entertainment. He led clients to realize value through the development of new product and service initiatives, and the alignment of operations to support these initiatives. His work included the definition of a new diagnostic product for a bio-medical device manufacturer with revenues in excess of $300M, delivery of a $250M vendor realignment strategy for a pharmaceuticals company, and the fair market valuation and TCO estimation of an operational division with a $50M+ asset base for a government entity.

Prior to joining PA Consulting Group, Jay was an entrepreneur at Aajrekar Battery Plates (ABP), India, a firm manufacturing industrial batteries. Under his leadership, ABP grew at an annualized rate of more than 50% through introduction of new product lines and key government contracts. This also resulted in ABP’s products being installed across most of India’s power grid, one of the key drivers for the company’s long-term success.

Jay’s skills and experience spanning small businesses and large corporations, strategy and operations, and business environments in the US and India position him uniquely to deliver advice that enables executives to realize their goals.
